Enterprise Data & Analytics (EDA), which offers Chief Data Office capabilities to Wells Fargo, focuses on leveraging data as a strategic asset. Data is critical to Wells Fargos continued success, deepening relationships with our customers, creating a seamless and convenient multi-channel experience, and meeting our commitment to satisfy our customers financial needs. EDA defines how we use information across the company, align our business practices and support our continued focus on great customer experience.

The EDA organization is working to evolve the Wells Fargo data and analytics ecosystem by transforming the way Wells Fargo is organizationally structured in the data space, how we architect data solutions as well as prioritize data investments and bring together data environments. As we transform and evolve our organization, we are seeking key individuals to help strategize and execute on a number of different initiatives.

The EDA organization is building a best in-class analytics team, focused on delivering enterprise-wide data driven insights based in both traditional and emerging analytical techniques. Our team supports the EDA service model by providing LOBs with machine learning analytic consulting and guidance.

Key Job Responsibilities include:

  • Be a key contributor to machine learning projects, helping translate business needs into an analytic plan, executing on the plan, and working on delivery of results
  • Contribute to the development of training tools about machine learning, providing content to training materials and delivering training sessions
  • Contribute to the evaluation of new software techniques and technologies, providing user testing and preparation of results

Location(s): NC-Charlotte or MN-Minneapolis preferred. Open to other US domestic locations within the Wells Fargo footprint

Who We Are:



Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling



Desired Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to translate and summarize complex data into understandable, actionable information and recommendations
  • Ability to think creatively to find innovative solutions to complex analytical questions
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
  • Strong ability to retrieve data from various information systems
  • 3 + years of machine learning experience
  • Experience with text analytics, predictive modeling, signal processing or optimization techniques
  • Experience in a distributed data processing framework
  • Ability to form a story through data analysis
  • Experience using SQL for data transformation



Other Desired Qualifications
  • 3+ years of python, R or Scala experience
  • A Master's degree or higher in computer science, applied statistics, quantitative economics, operations research or a related field
