IBM is looking for an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Practitioner whose primary responsibility will be to solution Amazon Web Services Federal offerings for our clients. The candidate should have: Understanding of AWS Cloud and the basic global infrastructure Understand and ability to deploy key services on the AWS platform such as S3, EC2, and Sagemaker Understanding of basic AWS Cloud architectural principles Understanding of the basic/core characteristics of deploying and operating in the AWS Cloud The candidate should have the ability to work independently and ability to interface with senior business leaders, and ability to work across teams.

Location: The work is located in Washington D.C.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • CANDIDATE MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN WITH ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE
  • 2 years experience architecting, implementing and managing environments with AWS.
  • Experience with AWS, EC2, S3, and Sagemaker services.
  • 2 years experience migrating client workloads into AWS from other clouds (public or private) as well as traditional on-premise solutions
  • 2 years experience managing client workloads across multiple AWS availability zones and regions


Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • 2 or more years of experience managing AWS GovCloud Skills in a formal PM discipline (PMI or other PM accreditation is a plus)
  • Experience with Federal Government contracts, including security compliance guidelines for NIST 800-53 moderate and high impact baselines
  • Experience working with managed service providers on top of AWS IaaS/PaaS offerings
