The Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) organization leads technology for one of the highest market cap financial services institutions in the world, helping 76.6 million customers conduct an average of 95 million transactions each day, helping more end-customers every day, both in the United States and internationally. EIT helps them as trusted business partners working with the business to develop and deliver value-added products and services. EIT manages world-wide technology for more than 8,700 stores and 12,500 ATMs. EIT collectively supports 2500 applications, 270,000 desktops/laptops, manages one of the largest and most resilient mainframe environments in the world and operates one of the largest telecommunication infrastructures.

There are 8 primary business groups that comprise the EIT organization: Community Banking Technology (CBT), Consumer Lending Technology (CLT), Corporate Technology (CT), Enterprise Technology Infrastructure (ETI), Enterprise Technology Operations (ETO), Enterprise Technology Services (ETS), Team Member Technology (TMT), Wealth and Investment Management Technology (WIMT). The newly organized PMO Center of Excellence (CoE) includes project management services teams, comprised of a dedicated/shared services model and a Process, Tools and Governance team (PTG). The summary of the Business Systems Consultant 6/Agile Coach role, within the PM Methods team, and as part of the Enterprise Agile Center of Excellence is as follows:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide individuals and teams to adopt and improve Agile methods and practices, and help people rethink and change the way they structure value streams, influence and lead continuous value delivery, and go about application development, QA, and project management.
  • Facilitate transformational change at the executive, portfolio, and team levels within a large matrixed organization.
  • Coach and mentor business and technology leaders to display behaviors that come with key mindset shifts associated with transformation.
  • Guide the Scrum Master and team on the best Agile practices and assist the technology and business teams to resolve issues inherent in application of the Agile methodology
  • Provide strategic thought leadership on resolution of specific impediments to accelerated delivery through active participation in the Agile CoE
  • Partner and collaborate with key stakeholders throughout Wells Fargo to continue to mature agile and accelerated delivery within Wells Fargo
  • Use in-depth understanding of Lean, Agile, and Scrum principles to train and guide the organization through Agile transformation and continued maturity
  • Monitor and coach teams for consistent and effective Agile application
  • Track and monitor metrics and reporting for areas of potential future development
  • Create, maintain, and promote consistent Agile practices cooperation with the EIT Agile Center of Excellence (CoE)
  • Perform periodic Agile Maturity assessments for teams, provide coaching and input to reach higher levels of maturity, continuous improvement
  • Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
  • Guide teams to iterative delivery while maintaining compliance with all Wells Fargo governance requirements
  • Remain current on all Agile CoE standards and practices; socialize and promote changes among the Agile teams
  • Produce Agile metrics and reporting
  • Maintain focus on Risk Management
  • Support enterprise goals of simplification, streamlining and common processes
  • Must be comfortable with ambiguity, driving and leading change
  • Interact frequently with senior management, demonstrating influence and negotiation.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of business systems analysis experience, design experience, or a combination of both
  • 4+ years of leadership experience
  • 5+ years of Agile experience
  • 3 + years of experience as a scrum master
  • Agile Certification

Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience with large-scale process transformation initiatives
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
  • Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals
  • Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies: used in waterfall or Agile development projects
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience with one or more Agile tools used for tracking user stories or backlogs, such as VersionOne and Team Foundation Server (TFS)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Technology Project Methodology (TPM)
  • SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience
  • Experience in problem analysis, solution implementation, and change management
  • Experience operating effectively in a geographically dispersed organization
  • Ability to positively influence, motivate, and direct diverse teams in a shift based, decentralized, and geographically dispersed environment

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Additional certifications above Scrum Master. I.E Certified Scrum Trainer (CST), Certified Scrum Coach (CSC), Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP), Agile Coaching Institute Agile Certified Coach (ACI ACC), SAFe, Agility Health Facilitator
  • Preferred working knowledge and experience in the following areas: Scaling Agile Models other than SAFe (aka, LESS, SPOTIFY, etc..), Test Driven Development, DevOps Practices, and Technical XP
  • Demonstrated experience in leading enterprise change management that includes leading and directing business and technology leadership and teams to learn a new operating structure and processes with application of varying techniques to drive adoption to reach stated objectives.
  • Experience leading a transformation team that includes Agile coaches and SCRUM masters within a matrixed technology organization
  • Deep knowledge of Agile principles and practices, ability to transfer that understanding at all levels of the organization

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
